      Abstract

Sugar palm is a useful plant so it’s called as Multi Purpose Trees Species (MPTS) that has good prospects. Sugar palm research has been carried out but has not been compiled in database so the gaps is not yet known. The purpose of this study are to inventory and analyze the result research of sugar palm in Indonesia through the Google Scholar and Scopus databases from 1986- 2021. The method used in this study is systematic review with bibliometric analysis using Publish or Perish, Vosviewer and Mendeley software. The results showed that there are 476 articles collected with the most topics Economics and Business and Technology and Industry. The phase of the palm sugar research phase in Indonesia is not carried out in stages, but the number of published research articles tends to increase with the increasing period of the year. Research of sugar palm is more related to sap research than other parts. Sugar palm research is mostly done by collaboration. Sugar palm research is important to develop sugar palm bioprospection so it also needs great attention from stakeholders including the government.
