Lobster diperdagangkan dengan nilai yang sangat ditentukan berdasarkan pola warna. Lobster dengan pola warna menarik memiliki harga yang tinggi. Pigmen karotenoid merupakan warna alami pada karapas lobster. Multispectral imaging merupakan pendeteksi citra, yang keakuratannya dapat menginspirasi dalam memahami pola warna karapas lobster. Tujuan penelitian adalah menentukan karakterisasi karapas berbagai spesies lobster menggunakan multispectral imaging. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu lobster pasir (P. homarus), lobster batu (P. penicillatus), lobster batik (P. longipes), dan lobster bambu (P. versicolor). Identifikasi spesies lobster dilakukan dengan morfologi dan DNA barcoding. Kadar karotenoid pada karapas lobster diperoleh dengan melakukan ultrasound-assisted extraction dan dianalisis menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-VIS pada panjang gelombang 530 nm. Citra pola warna karapas multispectral imaging diolah menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python 3.9.6. Spesies lobster yang berbeda menghasilkan nilai model warna RGB (Red, Green, Blue), HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value), L*a*b, dan pixel yang berbeda nyata, namun belum dapat menunjukkan keberadaan karotenoid. Lobsters trade at a highly defined value based on color patterns. Lobsters with attractive color patterns have high prices. Carotenoid pigments are the natural color of the lobster carapace. Multispectral imaging is an image detector whose accuracy can inspire understanding of the color pattern of the lobster carapace. The aim of the study was to determine the carapace characterization of various lobster species using multispectral imaging. The samples used were spiny lobster (P. homarus), rock lobster (P. penicillatus), long legged spiny lobster (P. longipes), and bamboo lobster (P. versicolor). Lobster species identification was done by morphology and DNA barcode. Carotenoid levels in lobster carapace were obtained by ultrasound-assisted extraction and analyzed using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 530 nm. The image of the carapace color pattern as a result of multispectral imaging was processed using the Python 3.9.6 programming language. The RGB (Red, Green, Blue), HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value), L*a*b, and pixel color models, it show significant differences between lobster species but cannot show the presence of carotenoids.
