Persepsi Pengusaha Penampungan Ayam Terhadap Rencana Relokasi Tempat Penampungan Ayam (Studi Kasus Di Semua Lokasi Tempat Penampungan Ayam Di Jakarta Pusat )

Abstract

Chicken glossier is a place designed for collecting and distributing chickens from farms to consumer and also believed as a potential place for spreading avian influenza viruses. Therefore, The Government of DKI Jakarta released Regional Policy no 4 year 2007 about ‘Raising and Distributing Poultry Control‘. One of its content is the relocation of present chicken glossier located in Central Jakarta to Rawa Kepiting, East Jakarta. To get the smoothness of this program, the government had socialized about the relocation program to the business owners. The objectives of this study were: 1) to know characteristic of the glossir owners and the characteristic of their own business, (2) to explain the owners’ perception about relocation program, and 3) to analyze the correlation between the business owner’s characteristic and their perception about relocation program. This study was conducted from February until July 2008 at Pangkalan Asem Street and Cempaka Putih market in Cempaka Putih sub district, Johar Baru and Kemayoran sub district, Central Jakarta. This study was designed as a descriptive analytical research. The correlation value of Rank Spearman and Chi Square was calculated using SPSS 14.0 software. The result showed that the owner of chicken glossier agree with the relocation program but with a government’s guaranty that all of equipment they need would be provided and there shall be an easy access to reach the new location in Rawa Kepiting.
