Determinan Keputusan Berwakaf Uang di Kalangan Mahasiswa IPB University

Abstract

Wakaf uang merupakan bentuk instrumen dalam ekonomi Islam yang berpotensi dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Namun di Indonesia terdapat kesenjangan yang sangat besar antara potensi wakaf uang dengan realisasi penghimpunan wakaf uang. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis karakteristik mahasiswa IPB University berdasarkan demografi dan sosial-ekonomi dan tingkat literasi wakaf uang mahasiswa IPB University, serta menganalisis determinan keputusan berwakaf uang di kalangan mahasiswa IPB University. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi logistik dan untuk penghitungan indeks literasi wakaf mengadopsi metode penghitungan yang dikontruksi oleh Puskas BAZNAS. Berdasarkan demografi, responden dominan berjenis kelamin perempuan dan berusia pada rentang 20 hingga 21 tahun. Sementara berdasarkan sosial-ekonomi, responden dominan tidak pernah mengenyam pendidikan Islam dan berpendapatan pada rentang Rp750.000,00 sampai Rp1.000.000,00. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa tingkat literasi wakaf mahasiswa IPB University secara keseluruhan masih masuk dalam kategori rendah. Sedangkan keputusan berwakaf uang mahasiswa IPB dipengaruhi oleh variabel literasi wakaf, religiusitas, norma subjektif, pendidikan Islam, dan pendapatan.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of IPB University students based on demographics and socio-economics and the literacy level of cash waqf students of IPB University, as well as to analyze the determinants of cash waqf decisions among IPB University students. The method used is descriptive analysis method, logistic regression analysis and for calculating the literacy index of waqf adopts the calculation method constructed by Puskas BAZNAS. Based on demography, the dominant respondent is female and the age ranges from 20 to 21 years. Meanwhile, based on socio-economics, the dominant respondents have never received an Islamic education and have incomes in the range of Rp. 750,000.00 to Rp. 1,000,000.00. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the literacy level of waqf students of IPB University as a whole is still in the low category.
