Perkembangan Ekspor Kayu Lapis PT SLJ Global Tbk dan Analisis Faktor-faktor yang Memengaruhinya

Abstract

PT SLJ Global Tbk merupakan salah satu produsen dan eksportir kayu lapis. Penelitian ini ditulis dengan tujuan: (1) menjelaskan perkembangan usaha ekspor kayu lapis PT SLJ Global Tbk dan (2) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi ekspor kayu lapis PT SLJ Global Tbk. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer hasil wawancara dan data sekunder yang berbentuk data deret waktu bulanan periode Januari 2014-Desember 2020. Perkembangan usaha ekspor kayu lapis perusahaan dijelaskan secara analisis deskriptif. Faktor-faktor yang diduga memengaruhi volume ekspor kayu lapis perusahaan dianalisis menggunakan Error Correction Model (ECM). Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap volume ekspor kayu lapis perusahaan dalam jangka panjang adalah volume produksi dan volume produksi periode sebelumnya. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada jangka pendek adalah volume produksi, harga ekspor, harga internasional, dan volume produksi periode sebelumnya. Variabel nilai tukar dolar Amerika Serikat ke rupiah berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan. Implikasi manajerial adalah peningkatan produktivitas, penjagaan stabilitas produksi, peningkatan kualitas kayu lapis, dan peningkatan pemasaran ekspor.

PT SLJ Global Tbk is one of the producers and exporters of plywood. This study was written with the objectives of: (1) explaining the development of PT SLJ Global Tbk's plywood export business and (2) analyzing the factors that influence PT SLJ Global Tbk's plywood exports. This study uses primary data from interviews and secondary data in the form of monthly time series data for the period January 2014-December 2020. The development of the company's plywood export business is explained by descriptive analysis. Factors thought to influence the company's plywood export volume were analyzed using the Error Correction Model (ECM). The factors that have a positive and significant impact on the company's plywood export volume in the long-term are the production volume and previous period’s production volume. The factors that have a positive and significant impact in the short-term are production volume, export prices, international prices, and production volumes for the previous period. The variable exchange rate of the United States dollar to rupiah has a negative and significant effect. The managerial implications are increasing productivity, maintaining production stability, improving plywood quality, and export marketing improvement.
