      Abstract

Since 2014, the proportion of working capital financing for Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) has tended to decline and the worst condition occurred in 2020. This study aims to analyze internal and external factors that affect the proportion of working capital financing by BUS in Indonesia by using monthly data from July 2018 to October 2021 and using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method. The results of the study found that based on the VECM estimation, all internal and external factors had a significant effect on the proportion of working capital financing. The proportion of working capital financing responded positively to inflation, GDP, and SBIS shocks, while TPF and NPF shocks responded negatively. Inflation makes a dominant contribution in explaining the diversity of the proportions of working capital financing for BUS in Indonesia.
