      Abstract

Urban forests can absorb CO2 in the air through the process of photosynthesis, the absorption of CO2 in this photosynthesis process will produce biomass which is a carbon pool (carbon pool) contained in trees. The data collection technique used the census method and the sample data collection method was simple random sampling with two plot areas, namely 20 x 20 m2 and 20 x 40 m2 at IS 100%, 50% and 25% using the allometric equations of Manuri et al. (2017) and Ketterings et al. (2001). The results showed that more precise results were obtained by using a larger plot area and sampling intensity, while more accurate results were obtained by using a smaller plot area and sampling intensity.
