Perbandingan Ketelitian Alat dalam Pengukuran Diameter Pohon di Hutan Pendidikan Gunung Walat Sukabumi Jawa Barat
Abstract
Pengukuran diameter pohon merupakan salah satu cara untuk menduga potensi tegakan hutan di Hutan Pendidikan Gunung Walat. Pengukuran diameter pohon dapat dilakukan menggunakan phiband, caliper, tongkat bitterlich, spiegel relascope bitterlich (SRB), dan criterion. Tujuan penelitian untuk membandingkan hasil pengukuran diameter pohon pada berbagai alat ukur diameter pohon dan jenis kayu (daun lebar dan daun jarum). Parameter yang diamati meliputi bias, ketelitian, ketepatan, dan durasi waktu pengukuran. Pemilihan jenis pohon dipilih secara sengaja (purposive) menggunakan 93 pohon contoh dan dilakukan pembandingan nilai bias, simpangan baku, mean square error, dan uji-t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa caliper memberikan hasil pengukuran diameter terbaik dengan nilai bias, ketelitian, ketepatan, dan durasi waktu pengukuran berturut-turut sebesar -1,152; 0,928; 0,885; dan 17,01 detik pada pengukuran diameter pohon jenis kayu daun jarum dengan diameter 20–84 cm, sedangkan pada pengukuran diameter pohon jenis kayu daun lebar dengan diameter 30–59 cm, berturut-turut sebesar -0,109; 0,604; 0,377; dan 16,90 detik. Measurement of tree diameter is one way to estimate the potential of forest stands in Gunung Walat Educational Forest. Measurement of tree diameter can be done using a phiband, caliper, bitterlich stick, spiegel relascope bitterlich (SRB), and criterion. The purpose of the study was to compare the results of measuring tree diameters on various measuring instruments with those of tree diameters and wood species (broad-leaf and needle-leaf). The parameters observed include bias, accuracy, precision, and duration of measurement. The selection of tree species was chosen purposively using 93 sample trees and the values of bias, standard deviation, mean square error, and paired t-test were compared. The results showed that the caliper gave the best diameter measurement results with the values of bias, accuracy, precision, and measurement time duration of -1.152, 0.928, 0.885, and 17.01 seconds for measuring the diameter of deciduous trees with a diameter of 20–84 cm, while for measuring the diameter of broadleaf trees with a diameter of 30–59 cm, they were -0.109, 0.604, 0.377, and 16.90 seconds.
