      Abstract

Utilization of forest ecosystem services through forest healing programs is possible to develop in Indonesia, given the increasing stress case, while on the other hand, there is huge potential of forest. As a first step in developing forest healing in Indonesia, a systematic review needs to be carried out to identify: 1) the characteristics of forest healing interventions, and 2) empirical evidence of the effectiveness of forest healing in managing stress. The stages of this systematic review include literature study, data extraction, and data analysis. Throughout literature study, 58 articles deserve to be reviewed. The results of the review can be identified that: 1) the content of the forest healing intervention that is most widely used is walking in the forest with restrictions on the subject's activity to maximize the therapeutic response. Determination of the location of therapy in forest areas needs to pay attention to environmental biophysical criteria and forest management to meet the comfort, and 2) forest healing is proven to be effective in managing stress based on an analysis of parameters and psychological responses. The adoption of this model needs to be done due to the huge benefits for the community.
