      Abstract

Fig (Ficus carica L.) is a Moracea family plant native to subtropical climates. Fig can be propagated with vegetative method through stem cuttings. Fig plants from each country have different characteristics, unfortunately there are not many research about fig plants varieties. Research on the suitable planting media in fig cultivation is also difficult to find, therefore research that related to growth response of fig accession at the stage of cultivation with the experiment of various planting media need to be done. This research is divided into three parts, namely mother plant, seedbed, and nurseries. Mother plant and nurseries used a single factor Randomized Complete Group Design (RKLT), namely accession. The nursery used a split plot RKLT with the planting media and accession treatment. The results of the variety analysis showed that there was no variation in the variables of branch length, number of foliages, and fruit length on the mother plant. The results of the variety analysis on seedbed showed that the interaction between planting media and accession had a real effect on the variable number of shoots, the length of shoots, and the variable number of foliages. LSU Gold and Red Yerussalem accession were better planted on the mixed media of charcoal husks and soil, while Brown Turkey accession is better on the planting media with composition soil, chaff, fertilizing bacteria, and goat manure. Sals Corleone, Big Giant, and JH Adriatic accession generate similar growth on both planting media. The highest growth percentage on the mixed media of charcoal husks and soil at 6 MSS was Red Yerussalem accession (70%), while the highest growth percentage on the planting media with composition soil, chaff, fertilizing bacteria, and goat manure was Big Giant accession (70%). There is not diversity of the length shoots at the nursery. Keywords: accession, cutting, fig, planting media
