      Pendugaan Biomassa Hutan Menggunakan Citra Resolusi Sedang (Studi Kasus: Hutan Lahan Kering Sekunder Kalimantan Timur)

      Abstract
      Perubahan iklim merupakan masalah yang terjadi saat ini yang disebabkan oleh pemanasan global dan dapat diatasi salah satunya dengan menjaga tutupan hutan yang memiliki simpanan biomassa. Perlindungan terhadap biomassa hutan dapat mengurangi emisi karbon dari sektor lahan. Pendugaan nilai biomassa tidak perlu menggunakan cara destruktif, menggunakan citra satelit dapat dijadikan suatu alternatif. Tujuan penelitian untuk memperoleh model penduga biomassa hutan lahan kering sekunder di Kalimantan Timur dan membuat peta sebaran biomassa. Pembuatan model dilakukan secara digital menggunakan indeks vegetasi citra satelit landsat 8 dan data plot lapang menggunakan 39 plot data sekunder berasal dari program FCPF. Pembuatan peta sebaran biomassa dilakukan menggunakan 3 model terbaik. Penelitian ini menghasilkan model terbaik persamaan linier dengan indeks vegetasi GNDVI, dengan persamaan B = 3768,539 GNDVI - 1209,709 yang memiliki R2 sebesar 42,6%.
       
      Climate change is a current problem caused by global warming and can be addressed one of which by maintaining forest cover which functions as biomass storage. Protecting forest biomass can reduce carbon emission from the land sector. Biomass estimation is not only estimated by using a destructive method, satellite imagery can also be used as an alternative. The research objective is to develop biomass estimator model in dryland secondary forest and generate a biomass distribution map. Biomass model was developed based on vegetation index of landsat 8 satellite imagery and field data plot using secondary data of 39 plots from the FCPF program. Biomass distribution map was produced using best three models. This research shows that the best model is linear equation model with GNDVI vegetation index, with equation of B = 3768,539 GNDVI - 1209,709 and R2 value of 42,6%.
