kebutuhan air tanaman padi terpenuhi.
produksi riil paling tinggi. Varietas Inpari 30 Sub 1 Ciherang merupakan varietas
yang paling pendek, namun memiliki jumlah anakan yang paling banyak
dibanding tiga varietas lainnya.
Rice productivity in dryland could be increased with many methods.
Effective water management technique is required in plant cultivation to fulfill
rice water needs. This research is conducted to find how much sub-surface water
retention technology (SWRT) influences the second years after application to the
growth and production of four rice varieties. SWRT is one of many rainfall
harvesting techniques that suspected could retain soil moisture for a longer time
because SWRT could minimize water lost by percolation (the movement of water
into deeper soil layer). The experiment was carried using a split-plot design with
the treatment consisting of two factors, SWRT as the main plot and four rice
varieties as subplots. SWRT application in its second year of use could make a
real impact on retaining soil moisture, increasing plant height and number oftillers, evapotranspiration, and production potential. Still, SWRT did not make a
real impact increase actual production. Inpago 9 is the most effective water used
varieties, and the most productive. Inpari 30 Sub 1 Ciherang is the shortest height,
but it has the most tillers than other varieties. The influence of SWRT on rice
production in dryland could be more effective if the research was held in the dry
season or the location that has lower precipitation than Bogor.
