      Abstract

The drill method is a tapping method with a relatively fast recovery period, which is around 2-3 years. One of the locations that has recovered intercepts is the Gunung Walat Educational Forest. The recovered drill tapping holes are covered with oleoresin and have hardened so that it forms new bark and wood. This tapping hole can be re-opened if it is re-drilled. This study used drill bit sizes of 5/8 inch, 6/8 inch and 7/8 inch as post-recovery treatment. Beside that a new tapping area was drilled on the same tree as a control variable using the same drill bit size. The results showed that post-recovery pine oleoresin productivity was lower than the new tapping field. The size of the drill bit has a significant effect on the productivity of post-recovery pine oleoresin. The 7/8 inch drill bit provides the highest productivity, so that the 7/8 inch drill bit can be used as a solution in post-recovery pine oleoresin tapping. Keywords: drill bit size, oleoresin, post-recovery, productivity
