      Potensi Reduksi Gas Rumah Kaca dengan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (Studi Kasus: PLTMH Cisalimar, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat)

      Abstract
      Aktivitas di sektor energi telah meningkatkan emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK) dan suhu global. Upaya mitigasi pengurangan emisi GRK sangat diperlukan untuk mengurangi dampak negatif dari perubahan iklim, tetapi membutuhkan biaya yang tinggi. Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH) merupakan salah satu upaya mitigasi GRK di sektor energi dengan fokus energi terbarukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengestimasi potensi emisi GRK sebelum adanya proyek PLTMH Cisalimar, (2) mengestimasi potensi reduksi emisi GRK setelah adanya proyek PLTMH Cisalimar, dan (3) menganalisis kelayakan finansial PLTMH tersebut. Metode clean development mechanism (CDM) digunakan untuk mengestimasi potensi reduksi emisi GRK dan analisis kelayakan finansial untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan finansial proyek PLTMH. Hasil penelitian menunjukan emisi GRK sebelum adanya proyek PLTMH adalah 25,50 t CO2 per tahun pada tahun 2005 dan berpotensi meningkat hingga 34,39 t CO2 per tahun pada tahun 2030. PLTMH Cisalimar berpotensi dalam mereduksi emisi GRK sebesar 99,87% hingga 99,91% pada kurun 2005-2030. Namun, reduksi emisi tersebut membutuhkan total biaya sebesar Rp1,09 milyar. Secara finansial, PLTMH Cisalimar tidak layak karena biaya investasi yang tinggi, namun berpotensi dalam reduksi emisi GRK dan berkontribusi dalam pembangunan desa berkelanjutan.
       
      The energy sector related activities have increased greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and global temperatures. Mitigation of GHG emissions is required to reduce the negative impact of climate change, but it is costly. In the energy sector, Micro Hydro Power (MHP) becomes prominent GHG mitigation efforts which also produces renewable energy. This study aims to: (1) estimate potential GHG emissions before the Cisalimar MHP project, (2) estimate potential GHG emissions reduction after the MHP project implementation, and (3) analyze the financial feasibility of the MHP project. Clean development mechanism (CDM) method was employed to estimate the potential GHG emissions reduction and the feasibility analysis method evaluated the financial viability of the MHP project. The results showed that the GHG emission before the MHP project was 25,50 t CO2 per year in 2005 and it potentially increases to 34,39 t CO2 per year in 2030. Within its boundary project, Cisalimar MHP potentially reduces GHG emissions from 99.87% (in 2005) to 99.91% (in 2030). However, such reduction requires total cost up to USD 76.044,11 to be a high investment. Indeed, Cisalimar MHP is not financially feasible, but it potentially reduces of GHG emissions and contributes to rural sustainable development.
