      Kualitas Telur Ayam Lohmann umur 52-60 Minggu dengan Penambahan Pakan Ulat Tepung (Tenebrio molitor L.) dan Probiotik

      Abstract
      Ulat Tepung (Tenebrio molitor L.) memiliki kandungan protein tinggi yang berpotensi digunakan sebagai pakan tambahan sumber protein bagi unggas. Disamping pemberian pakan yang mengandung protein tinggi, efisiensi penyerapan pakan dalam pencernaan juga perlu diperhatikan melalui penggunaan probiotik dalam pakan atau minuman. Kualitas telur dapat dipengaruhi pakan, bangsa, umur, penyakit dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian pakan tambahan berupa ulat tepung dan penggunaan probiotik pada air minum terhadap kualitas telur yang dihasilkan ayam petelur strain Lohmann. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dua faktor. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan uji tukey untuk mengetahui perbedaan dari setiap perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian pakan tambahan 6% ulat tepung dan 0,2% probiotik pada air minum terdapat interaksi terhadap bobot telur, bobot putih dan kuning telur. Asam lemak tidak jenuh (PUFA) ditemukan pada telur dengan kandungan tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan pemberian pakan tambahan 5% ulat tepung.
       
      Yellow mealworm (Tenebrio molitor L.) has a high protein content that is potentially used as an additional feed protein source for livestock. In addition to feed containing high protein, feed absorption efficiency in the digestive tract is also worth noting through the use of probiotics in feeds/drinks. Eggs quality can be influenced by feeds, breed, age, disease and environment. The purpose of the study was for analyze the effect of yellow mealworm as additional feed and the use of probiotics in drinks against the quality of eggs produced by Lohmann strain laying hens. Studied uses a completely randomized design (CRD) two factor. The data was analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued Tukey test to determine the differences of each treatment. The result showed that the additional of 6% Tenebrio molitor L. and 0,2% probiotics has an interaction on egg weight, albumin weight and yolk weight. Poly unsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) are found in eggs of laying hens given the additional 5% yellow mealworm in their feeding.
