Pengaruh gelombang suara dalam mengganggu perkawinan pada Aedes aegepty (L.)

Abstract

The study of mating inhibition by sound on Aedes aegepty (L.) was carried out in the laboratory of Entomologi, IPB Bogor from Februari - April 2005. The study was aimed to examine effectiveness of sound trap for mating inhibition of Aedes aegypti. The method of this study was done by comparing the present of spermatozoa at spermatheca of A. aegypti female. Sound trap was composed of stimulator (the record of wing mosquito sound and tuning fork) and insect glue.
