dc.description.abstractTanaman kamandrah merupakan salah satu tanaman obat yang terdapat di wilayah Indonesia. Di Daerah Kalimantan Tengah, biji Croton tiglium banyak dimanfaatkan masyarakat, sebagai pencahar. Walaupun demikian pengetahuan masyarakat sekitar akan penggunaan tanaman ini sebagai obat laksatif, hanya sebatas informasi turun temurun belum diketahui dosis dan kandungan bahan aktif yang terdapat dalam tanaman tersebut. Identifikasi dan evaluasi taksonomi dilakukan oleh lembaga Pusat Penelitian Biologi Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) Bogor, menunjukkan bahwa tanaman yang diteliti dengan nama latin Croton tiglium L.id
dc.description.abstractdentification and taxonomy analysis conducted at Herbariu m Bogoriense at Research Centre for Biology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences Bogor. The name of the plant was C.tiglium L. The moisture and proximate analysis showed that the kamandrah seed contained moisture up to 6.20%, fat 40.1%, protein 26%, carbohydrate 15,51% and other elements such as fiber and ash.The phytochemical analysis showed that the hexane-soluble seeds extract contained fatty acids, terpenoids and alkaloids, while the ethanol- soluble extract of the seeds contained alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids and saponinsen
