Pemberian 20
g NPK cenderung menurunkan efisiensi fisiologis tanaman. Synsepalum dulcificum is a perennial plant whose fruit flesh can change the sour taste to sweet. This plant has slow growth and is difficult to propagate either by seeds or cuttings. The seeds dry quickly after being harvested and lose their viability after being dried, while the cuttings are very difficult to root and take a long time to grow. This study aims to determine the effect of giving NPK Mutiara 16-16-16 fertilizer on the vegetative growth of miracle fruit seedlings (S. dulcificum) and determine the optimal dose to support the vegetative growth of the plant. The study was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five levels of fertilizer doses (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 g per plant) and three replications. Variable observed included plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, destruction observation, leaf pigment, leaf area index, and plant’s N, P, and K concentration. The results showed that NPK fertilizer treatment had a significant effect on changes in plant height (8, 16, and 18 weaks after planting/WAP), stem diameter (10 WAP), and leaf number (4 to 20 WAP). The results showed that doses of 10 g produced the best physiological and morphological responses, including a significant increase in the leaf number and chlorophyll concentration, although the effect on final plant height was not statistically significant. Application of 20 g NPK tended to decrease the physiological efficiency of the plant. |
