dc.description.abstractKesadaran konsumen untuk membaca label pangan dan kemampuan masyarakat dalam memahami informasi pada label masih tergolong rendah, khususnya informasi BTP. Maka, perlu dilakukan penelitian pengetahuan dan perilaku membaca informasi BTP. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada konsumen mahasiswa sekolah vokasi IPB di Kota Bogor. Kesadaran mahasiswa akan pentingnya memahami informasi bahan tambahan pangan dapat mempertimbangkan pemilihan produk pangan yang tepat sehingga meminimalkan resiko kesehatan. Hal ini mengingat mahasiswa dapat membentuk pandangan dan perilaku konsumsi yang sehat, serta berpotensi menjadi pembawa informasi kepada masyarakat luas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Sekolah Vokasi IPB di Kota Bogor memiliki tingkat pengetahuan dalam kategori baik dimana laki-laki (86.9%) dan perempuan (90.7%) dengan skor rata-rata (88.8%). Sedangkan, tingkat perilaku mahasiswa berada dalam kategori sedang dimana laki-laki sebesar 60.7% dan perempuan sebesar 55.6%. Sosialisasi dan edukasi menjadi saran dari mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan minat baca terhadap informasi BTP pada label kemasan pangan.-
dc.description.abstractConsumer awareness to read food labels and the ability of the community to understand information on labels is still relatively low, especially BTP information. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on knowledge and behavior in reading BTP information. This study focused on consumers of IPB vocational school students in Bogor City. Student awareness of the importance of understanding information on food additives can consider the selection of the right food products so as to minimize health risks. This is because students can form healthy views and consumption behaviors, and have the potential to become carriers of information to the wider community. The results of the study showed that IPB Vocational School students in Bogor City had a level of knowledge in the good category where men (86.9%) and women (90.7%) with an average score (88.8%). Meanwhile, the level of student behavior was in the moderate category where men were 60.7% and women were 55.6%. Socialization and education are suggestions from students to increase interest in reading BTP information on food packaging labels.-
