      Abstract
Some organism requires interaction with other organism to maintain their survival. Categories of interaction between organism classified in symbiosis mutualism, comensalism, and parasitism. This research focus on parasitic interaction between lizard Eutropis multifasciata as host with their mites as parasites. Lizards can be infested by mites due to the physical interaction of the host, among others, fights, sexual contact, and nesting. This study aims to inventory and identify the mites ectoparasites of lizard E. multifasciata in Gunung Walat Education Forest and Cikabayan experimental farm of Bogor Agricultural University. Prevalency and intensity of mites infestation presented in this study through corelation number of mites found with lenght and weight variation of lizard. Twenty six of sixty one lizard were infested mites with number of mites 296. Prevalence value of mites in Gunung Walat Education Forest Sukabumi was 41.94%, while the prevalence value in Cikabayan experimental farm of Bogor Agricultural University was 43.33%. The results of the identification of two families of mites ectoparasites found that Microgyniidae and Ixodorhynchidae. Microgyniidae mites infestation intensity level greater than Ixodorhynchidae mites on lizards were obtained from both sampling area. The measurement results showed that the length and weight of the lizard is medium and short with variation of weight have levels of mite infestation intensity greatest.
