The study was aimed to analyze the weight of carcass and non carcass components in Javan porcupine. Four samples of Javan porcupines consisted of three males and one female were used in this study. Data collected were slaughter weight, weight and percentage of carcass and non-carcass components. The acquired data were descriptively analyzed. The result show that the average of carcass and non-carcass weight were 4.627,62 gram and 2.491,22 gram while the average of carcass and non-carcass percentage were 64,98 % and 35,02 % respectively. The biggest proportion of non-carcass components were head (6,46 %), spine (5,93 %), stomach (5,72 %), and blood (2,98 %) while the smallest proportion of non-carcass components were esophagus (0,13 %), pancreas (0,13 %), and spleen (0,12 %). Based on this study, the average weight of carcass in Javan porcupine was relatively high due to the thickness of porcupine meat coupled with skin and tail.
