Efek Pemberian Tepung Indigofera (Indigofera sp.) Sebagai Substitusi Konsentrat Komersial terhadap Produksi dan Kualitas Susu Sapi FH
Abstract
This research aimed to evaluate the use of Indigofera (Indigofera sp.) meal as substitute of commercial concentrate on the quantity and quality of milk of Friesien Holstein cows at Pasirjambu districts. This research used a randomized block design and analysis of Covariance (RBD - ANCOVA), in 3 levels of concentrates and Indigofera meal with 3 replications as a block based on milk production levels. Nine of dairy cows were used and offered treatments randomly. The treatments were R0 (60% forage + 40% concentrate), R1 (60% forage + 32% concentrate + 8% Indigofera meal) dan R2 (60% forage + 24% concentrate + 16% Indigofera meal). The results showed that there was no significant different on protein, fat, SNF, lactose, density, salt and freezing point of milk among treatment. This means Indigofera meal added as substitute of commercial concentrate did not negative affect milk quantity and quality. Thus, indigofera can be used as substitute to commercial concentrate up to 16%.
