Stock out of packaging material causes loss for UPI Mina Bahari 45 as it can delay the production process and cause customer satisfaction to decline. Therefore, planning and controlling raw material inventory using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method needs to be done to ensure the availability of raw materials. The purpose of this research is to identify the need for a planning and control system for raw material inventory at UPI Mina Bahari 45, analyze the implementation of planning and control of raw material inventory using the MRP method, as well as design a decision support application system for ordering packaging materials for UPI Mina Bahari 45. MRP preparation requires input in the form of a master production schedule, product structure, lead time, and inventory records. The MRP process is carried out through netting, lotting using economic order quantity (EOQ), and offsetting. The output of the MRP method is an order plan of packaging material needs based on order lead time. The implementation of the MRP method in inventory planning and control is simulated to eliminate stock out events in UPI Mina Bahari 45.
