NURMASITA. Profil Hematologi Anjing Setelah Pemberian Obat Anti Caplak Sarolaner Dosis Tunggal.

NURMASITA. Hematological Profiles of Dogs Received Single Dose of Sarolan- er Anti-Ticks Drug. Supervised by ANITA ESFANDIARI and SUPRATIKNO.
Sarolaner is a new anti-tick from the isoxazoline group, effective against tick infestations in dogs. The objective of this study was to read the hematological profile of dogs that were given a single dose of anti-tick with sarolaner active in- gredient. There are five ticked dogs used in this study. Anti-tick were given to the dogs with sarolaner active ingredient in a single dose of 2 mg/kg body weight via oral. Blood samples were taken from the cephalic antebrachial vein. The samples were taken before being given a sarolaner (H0, pre-treatment), at H+7 (7days post-treatment), and H+30 (30 days post-treatment). The samples were analyzed for hematological parameters, including the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin level, hematocrit value, and erythrocyte index (MCV and MCHC values). The re- sults showed that there was a significant difference in the hematocrit value at H+7 and H+30 (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the number of erythrocytes, the level of haemoglobin, MCV values, and MCHC values (P>0.05) in the same period. The administration of anti-tick with sarolaner active ingredient in a single dose of 2 mg/kg BW in ticked dogs increased the average hematocrit value on the 7th and 30th days after administration.
