<title>Pembuatan dan Identifikasi Preparat Histopatologi Limfonodus Prescapularis Kucing</title>
<link>http://repository.ipb.ac.id/handle/123456789/176883</link>
<description>Pembuatan dan Identifikasi Preparat Histopatologi Limfonodus Prescapularis Kucing
Hilmy, Muhammad Rakha
Limfonodus merupakan organ limfoid sekunder yang berperan penting dalam respons imun melalui proses penyaringan antigen dan aktivasi sel imun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat preparat histopatologi limfonodus prescapularis kucing menggunakan metode FFPE (Fixed-Formalin Paraffin-Embedded) dan mengidentifikasi struktur histologis yang terdapat pada jaringan tersebut. Metode yang dilakukan meliputi pengambilan sampel limfonodus prescapularis, fiksasi menggunakan NBF 10%, trimming, dehidrasi, clearing, infiltrasi parafin, embedding, sectioning, pewarnaan Hematoksilin-Eosin (HE), serta observasi menggunakan mikroskop cahaya. Hasil pembuatan preparat menunjukkan bahwa tahapan preparasi berlangsung dengan baik yang ditandai oleh terbentuknya blok parafin yang padat, irisan jaringan yang utuh, serta terpeliharanya arsitektur limfonodus, namun kualitas pewarnaan HE belum optimal sehingga kontras antara inti sel dan sitoplasma tampak kurang jelas. Identifikasi mikroskopis masih dapat dilakukan dengan ditemukannya struktur utama limfonodus berupa kapsula, korteks dan germinal center, parakorteks, serta medula. Komponen seluler yang berhasil diidentifikasi meliputi limfosit kecil dan centrocyte di korteks, makrofag dan limfosit besar di parakorteks, serta sel plasma pada medula.; The lymph node is a secondary lymphoid organ that plays an important role&#13;
in the immune response through antigen filtration and immune cell activation. This&#13;
study aimed to prepare histopathological slides of the feline prescapular lymph node&#13;
using the FFPE (Fixed-Formalin Paraffin-Embedded) method and to identify the&#13;
histological structures present within the tissue. The procedures included sampling,&#13;
fixation in 10% NBF, trimming, dehydration, clearing, paraffin infiltration,&#13;
embedding, sectioning, Hematoxylin-Eosin (HE) staining, and examination using a&#13;
microscope. The results showed that the procedures were successfully performed,&#13;
as indicated by the formation of compact paraffin blocks, intact tissue sections, and&#13;
preservation of lymph node architecture. However, the quality of HE staining was&#13;
not optimal, resulting in reduced contrast between the nuclei and cytoplasm.&#13;
Microscopic identification successfully done, revealing the main lymph node&#13;
structures, including the capsule, cortex and germinal centers, paracortex, and&#13;
medulla. The cellular components identified included small lymphocytes and&#13;
centrocytes are found in the cortex, macrophages and large lymphocytes in the&#13;
paracortex, and plasma cells in the medulla.

<title>Pengaruh Murotal Al-Qur'an terhadap Perilaku Stres Kucing</title>
<link>http://repository.ipb.ac.id/handle/123456789/176770</link>
<description>Pengaruh Murotal Al-Qur'an terhadap Perilaku Stres Kucing
Hawari, Haris Ahmad
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Murotal Al-Qur’an tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap parameter fisiologis, namun dapat memberikan penurunan nilai cat stress scoring, dan handling scoring secara tidak signifikan (p value &gt; 0.05).; Quranic recitation has been studied as an audio therapy for humans and animals to reduce stress; however, no research has specifically examined its benefits for cats. Therefore, Quranic recitation represents a novel approach worth investigating as a stress-reduction method for cats, particularly in medical settings. This study employed a repeated-measures design with a single group of five cats. The treatments administered included no audio, cat-specific music, classical music, and Quranic recitation. The parameters observed were heart rate, respiratory rate, body temperature, cat stress scores, and handling scores; these were subsequently analyzed using the Friedman test and Wilcoxon signed-rank tests. The results indicated that Quranic recitation did not affect physiological parameters, although it did lead to a reduction in cat stress scores and handling scores, albeit not at a statistically significant level (p value &gt; 0.05).

<title>Peran Paramedis dalam Penanganan dan Analisis Kasus Hernia Perineal Rekuren pada Anjing Jantan Senior</title>
<link>http://repository.ipb.ac.id/handle/123456789/176704</link>
<description>Peran Paramedis dalam Penanganan dan Analisis Kasus Hernia Perineal Rekuren pada Anjing Jantan Senior
PUTRI, SHEILLY DWIANA
Peran paramedis veteriner mendukung keberhasilan penanganan melalui monitoring, perawatan, dan evaluasi kondisi pasien selama masa pemulihan.; Perineal hernia is a protrusion of pelvic or abdominal organs through weakening of the pelvic diaphragm and commonly occurs in intact senior male dogs. This final project aimed to describe the role of veterinary paramedics in the management of recurrent perineal hernia in a senior male dog. A case study was conducted on a 9-year-old male Yorkshire Terrier weighing 4.15 kg that presented with perineal swelling and urinary abnormalities. Evaluation was performed through history taking, physical examination, hematological evaluation, abdominal ultrasonography, intraoperative assessment, and postoperative monitoring. Management included patient stabilization, anesthetic preparation, herniorrhaphy and orchiectomy procedures, and intensive postoperative care. Intraoperative exploration revealed prostatic enlargement with abnormal tissue characteristics suggestive of prostatic neoplasia. Postoperative monitoring showed gradual clinical improvement until the patient was discharged on the eleventh postoperative day. Veterinary paramedics contributed to successful case management through clinical monitoring, patient care, and evaluation during the recovery period.
