<title>Growth Rate Of Red Jabon And Teak Trees From Plantation Forest</title>
<link>http://repository.ipb.ac.id/handle/123456789/173848</link>
<description>Growth Rate Of Red Jabon And Teak Trees From Plantation Forest
Wahyudi, Imam; Rahayu, Istie Sekartining; Mpape, Bahidin
Red jabon (Anthocephallus macrophyllus Roxb. Havil) and teak (Tectona grandis Linn. f) is fast- and&#13;
slow-growing tree species that are widely planted in Indonesia. Both species have high adaptability to&#13;
grow in various types of soils. The development of red jabon and teak plantation forests and the&#13;
utilization of their wood produced require knowledge of their growth rates. The information on the&#13;
growth rate is important because it is closely related to forest sustainability. Climatic elements such as&#13;
rainfall, rainy day, temperature, humidity, and duration of irradiation are important factors in tree&#13;
growth. The purpose of this study was to study the growth rate i.e. the annual increment of red jabon&#13;
and teak trees and their relationship with climatic elements. Observations were made for one year,&#13;
namely 2021. This study used descriptive analysis to describe the growth rate; while Pearson's&#13;
correlation was used to evaluate the relationship between the growth rate and climate elements. The&#13;
results showed that the diameter increment of the red jabon tree per year was 2.21 cm, while for teak&#13;
was 0.34 cm per year. A significant relationship between the growth rate of the jabon tree and&#13;
climatic elements can be seen in rainfall, rainy days, and humidity; while temperature and duration of&#13;
irradiation did not have a significant correlation. In teak trees, a significant relationship was seen&#13;
only on a rainy day and humidity; while rainfall, temperature and irradiation time are not&#13;
significantly correlated.

<description>Persamaan Dan Perbedaan Ciri Anatomi Pada Beberapa Jenis Kayu Mangrove
Wahyudi, Imam
The rise of illegal logging activities is triggered by weak existing law enforcement processes.&#13;
In court, the identity of the evidence is a very important factor and determining the wood&#13;
species must be done correctly. This research aims to analyze the distinguishing&#13;
characteristics of several mangrove wood species based on their anatomical structure.&#13;
Macroscopic features of wood are observed directly by using a micro lup connected to a&#13;
computer; while the microscopic ones namely the shape and size, and organization of wood&#13;
constituent cells namely vessel (pores), axial parenchyma, rays, fibers and intercellular canals&#13;
were observed through microtome specimens using a light microscope. The results showed that&#13;
included phloem and crystals, the arrangement of pores, and type of parenchyma cell can be&#13;
used to differentiate among the wood species studied.

<title>Beberapa Sifat Fisis-Mekanis Kayu Mangium Hasil Budidaya Umur Lima Tahun</title>

<description>Beberapa Sifat Fisis-Mekanis Kayu Mangium Hasil Budidaya Umur Lima Tahun
Wahyudi, Imam
Kebutuhan kayu yang terus meningkat mengakibatkan kegiatan pembangunan&#13;
hutan dengan berbagai skema semakin banyak diminati. Salah satu jenis pohon yang&#13;
banyak ditanam masyarakat di lahan milik adalah mangium (Acacia mangium). Dalam&#13;
rangka membantu dan mendukung kegiatan tersebut, kajian tentang sifat fisis-mekanis&#13;
kayu yang dihasilkan perlu dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi perlakuan yang diterapkan.&#13;
Sampel yang digunakan adalah kayu mangium dari tegakan yang berumur 5 tahun yang&#13;
ditanam di satu lokasi milik petani, yang terdiri dari F0 (indukan), F1 (turunan pertama)&#13;
dan F2 (turunan kedua). Sifat fisis-mekanis yang diuji meliputi kerapatan dan berat jenis&#13;
serta keteguhan lentur statis (MOE dan MOR), keteguhan tekan sejajar serat dan&#13;
kekerasan sisi dalam kondisi kering udara. Prosedur pengujian mengikuti British&#13;
Standard 373-57. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis statistik dengan one-way&#13;
Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sifat fisis-mekanis ketiga generasi kayu mangium&#13;
tersebut (F0, F1 dan F2) tidak berbeda nyata. Ketiganya masuk ke dalam golongan kayu&#13;
dengan kelas kuat III.
