dc.description.abstract | Several bacterial species are able to catalyze ice formation at temperatures as warm as -2C. These bacteria which are generally inhabiting plant surface, catalyze ice formation at temperature much higher than more organic substance. In some cases, they are responssible for frost injury on certain plant. The ability of these bacteria to muccleate ice make them useful in ice nucluation-associated applications, such as the freezing of some food products, artificial snow production, and possibly in future weather modification scheme. | id |
