      Abstract
Irrigation through proper capillary irrigation will provide enough available water for eggplant plants to grow and produce properly. The research was arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design of two factors with three replications. The first factor has 4 levels and the second factor has 5 levels. resulting in 20 combinations and repeated 3 times resulting in 60 experimental units. The first factor was the number of capillary wick in the existing PVC pipe that was 1, 2, 3, and 4 capillary wick with the distance between capillary wick was 3 cm. The second factor was the fertilizer application method that was P1 without fertilizer, P2 of fertilizer was given 0% through the water and 100% through the soil, P3 of fertilizer was given 33,3% through the water and the rest through the soil, P4 fertilizer was given 66,6% through the water and the rest trough the soil, P5 100% fertilizer through the water. The results of this study indicated that combination of K1P1 (one capillary wick and without fertilizers) gave the maximum production of marketable eggplant. The method of applying the fertilizer affected plant growth. Treatment without fertilizer produces the maximum number of leaves. The number of capillary wick give effect of plant to growth, one capillary wick give maximum number of leaves.
