This research aimed to discover the optimum factors (sedation rate, sedation temperature, storage temperature, reduced O2 concentration, and period of transportation) influenced to survival rate during dry system transportation (static) of live goldfish. Observation on fish condition during sedation, packaging, unpacking, and refreshing process; toxicity test on filler; bulk density measurement on filler; water absorption of filler; and container efficiency were also performed. The results showed that the optimum sedation temperature is at 60C, the optimum storage temperature is at 180C, the best sedation rate is eight hours from normal temperature (± 270C) down to 60C, the best reduced O2 concentration is 0 % reduction in O2 concentration (package which was contained ±21% O2 concentration), and the longest period of transportation (static) is 24 hours by normal atmosphere packaging. The filler was known harmless for live goldfish after 24 hours of toxicity test. The bulk density of filler is 0.074 gram/cm3 and the capacity of water absorption of filler is 57.32% wet weight or 135.23% dry weight.id
