Abstract: This paper aims to develop a model for inventory optimization of crude palm oil by applying the economic order quantity (EOQ) and the fuzzy theory. The used defuzzification method is the signed distance method. Model development was conducted by, first, re-formulating the EOQ basic model. The model development was implemented in terms of decision support systems with the inventory optimization and sales forecast of crude palm oil as the model basis. whereas the parameters of cost. demand bias and past sales data as the data basis. Defuzzification was used as the knowledge basis. The study showed that the optimal quantity measurement of the fuzzy EOQ was always less than crisp EOQ model. The produced decision support system can support the decision-makers ill planning and control the supply operational to the port.id
