dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of food in the Diabetic Mellitus (DM) Diet Plan. Dietitians usually use the Food Exhange List method in computing the amount of food recommended for the DM diet. However, this method did not accurately compute the amount of nutrition contained in the diet as it was recommended in the diet standard. This study utilized the Goal Programing method was able to overcome the weakness of the Food Exchange Method. The results of the study showed that the amount of food computed in the DM diet resulted the amount of energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate that met with the amount of nutrition recommended in the standard diet. | |
