Abstract
Garut sheep is unique sheep at Pasundan region of West Java and has special quality in reproductivity, carcass, and fighter performance. Nevertheless there is not enough information concerning their health status especially their urinalysis profile based on physiological state. For this purpose, we did explorative study on body temperature and semi-quantitative strip test in 80 animals at BPPTD Margawati. The result showed that all animals has proteinuria but in different number, there are: 7 for lamb males; 5 for null-para females; 4 for lamb females; 4 for lactation ewes; 3 for rams; 1 for each null-para male, pregnancy, and flushing. The result showed that all animals in normal range of body temperature (38.9– 40.5 °C) and tend to be decreased among adult garut sheep. There is one ram which proteinuria found with hematuria and nitrituria.
