Palm stems are photosynthesis and transpiration organ of oil palm plants. Stems quantity controlling has never had an appropriate standard which is suitable with environmental condition. This research aims to calculate an optimum quantity of palm stems which support the highest oil palm production. Experiments were conducted in PT. Kimia Tirta Utama plantation, Astra Agro Lestari Group, Siak District, Riau from February until June 2013. The experiments used a single factor with six treatments and three repetition of randomized block. The results show that the combination of stems quantity and time period have been able to increase the fresh fruit bunch weight, bunch quantity and average fresh fruit bunch production of plants attain the age < 8 years, 8 – 13 years, > 13 years. The best treatment are F (49-56 at the beginning of rainy season and 41-48 from rainy until dry season) than others treatment
