Performa Pertumbuhan dan Kualitas Karkas Domba Lokal Muda dengan Ransum Mengandung Indigo/era sp.

Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to evaluate the growth performance and carcass quality of local male sheep Oonggol and garut) fed with pellet ration containing 30% Indigo/era sp. Sixteen local growing male sheeps consisting of eight UP3-jonggol and eight garut strains, with physiological state of weaning or balibu and young sheep), were used in this experiment for three months. The complete ration was pellet containing 30% of Indigo/era Sp. with 87.3% dry matter (DM), 18.1% crude protein and 73.8% total digestible nutrient (TDN). The animals were reared in individual cages with water and feed ad libitum. Parameters measured were average daily gain (ADG), daily feed consumption (FC) and feed conversion ratio (DFCIADG), carcass percentage and carcass composition. Data were analyzed by descriptif way. The results showed that average daily gain (ADG) of garut balibu lamb was the highest, but the highest feed conversion ratio was in UP3J balibu lamb. Meanwhile, carcass percentage of UP3J young sheep and carcass composition of garut young sheep were the highest. In general, it is concluded that growth and carcass performance of local sheeps fed with pellet containing 30% Indigo/era were good.
