dc.description.abstract | Rattan biomass is one of the agricultural wastes that can be used as a source of cellulose nanoparticle. To produce cellulose nanoparticle rattan biomass that is low density, good mechanical properties, natural resources and renewable resources needed a new method of development nanotechnology using millultrasonic methods. The purpose of this study is synthesis and characterization of cellulose nanoparticle rattan biomass used Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) and Particle Size analyzer (PSA). cellulose nanoparticle is made of rattan biomass with mechanical systems (milling and shakers) in size 75 pm was then heated stirer 100 oC and 300 rpm for 2 hours, so ultrasonic at f = 20 kHz, with a variation of 1, 2, 3 hours. PSA test results produced a maximum particle size of 146.3 nm (number distribution 32%) at the tutrasonic = 3 h. Meanwhile, the SEM-EDS show that the extracted sample is really a cellulose. because the composition in the sample element is dominated by %atoms C = 58.25% and a = 39.38%, the rest is mineral macro-and micronutrients Si, Ca, K and Cu. | en |
