Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Tanaman di Kebun Raya Bogor Berbasis Android
Abstract
Bogor Botanical Gardens (BBG) is the third largest botanical garden in Indonesia. There are 13697 specimens in BBG, which are grouped into 3441 species, 1265 genus, and 220 families in an area of 87 hectares. The absence of an application which can provide information about the plant and its location causing difficulties for users to gain detail information and location of a plant to be visited. The purpose of this research was to build a plant information systems at BBG by integrating geographic information system (GIS) on Android. This system was expected to help users to see detail information of plants and can guide them to the area location they want to visit. The research was conducted in several stages, started with planning, analyzing system requirements, system design, system implementation, and maintenance. The test results shown that the system was able to work well and produce the expected output
