Food safety knowledge of students and parents’ need to be improved to minimize the risk of food poisoning which most cases occured at home and school. The aim of this research was to determine the effectivity from various food safety programs that have held at school towards the improvement of food safety knowledge among primary school students, and their parents’ behavior. The survey data gained from 397 primary school students and 195 parents were analyzed using SPSS through contingency and spearman analysis methods. The result affirming activities which significantly associated with the improvement of primary school students’ knowledge in West-part of Indonesia were pasting food safety poster and establishing of food safety team, while in East-part of Indonesia were pasting food safety poster and conducting food safety extension. The result of spearman correlation revealed that parents’ educational level had no effect over the improvement of primary school students’ knowledge about food safety (p= 0.276 >α= 0.05).
