      Abstract
The Increasing of Java Tea Plant (Orthosipon aristatus) productivity needs the improvement of cultivation techniques. One of the improvements is fertilization. The objective of this research was to get accurate dosage of N, P, and K fertilizer application to increase vegetative growth, biomass production and sinensetin compound. The research was arranged in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with single factor namely N, P, and K fertilization. There were 5 levels in this research. Those treatments were control: without any N, P, and K fertilizer, ½ recommended dosage (N : 39.37 kg/ha, P : 18 kg/ha, K: 30 kg/ha), 1 recommended dosage (N : 78.75 kg/ha, P : 36 kg/ha, K: 60 kg/ha); 1½ recommended dosage (N : 118.12 kg/ha, P : 54 kg/ha, K: 90 kg/ha), 2 recommended dosage (N : 157.50 kg/ha, P : 72 kg/ha, K: 120 kg/ha), and each of treatment was replicated four times,so there were 33 plants per each plot. Fertilizer was applicated on 2 and 4 weeks after planting in accordance with the predetermined dosage. The results showed that N, P, and K fertilization gave significant influence to vegetative growth and increase biomass production on java tea plant. The best dosage of N, P, and K fertilization for wet weight of leaves production of Java Tea Plants was 1/2 recommended dosage N: 39.37 kg/ha, P: 18 kg/ha, K: 30 kg/ha.
