Pendugaan Potensi Simpanan Karbon Tegakan Acacia nilotica L. (Willd) ex. Del. di Taman Nasional Baluran Situbondo Jawa Timur
Abstract
Measurement of the biomass is needed to find out how large the amount of carbon stock in the forest. Accurate information on the forest carbon stock is needed to describe the condition of forest ecosytems. This study aims to determine allometric model biomass and carbon stock of Acacia nilotica at Baluran National Park. This research was using destructive sampling of tree samples. The biomass of sample trees was measured and weighed, after that the equation was made to estimate the potential biomass in the research area according to trees diameter. Based of a simple regression analysis test, the best model for estimating biomass content the A.nilotica is W = 0.484 D1.832. The results shows that tree carbon stock in each density are different. The density consist of closed density 10.00 ton/ha, medium density 12.74 ton/ha, and spare density 12.57 ton/ha. Each density has a different carbon content as influenced by stand density, stand age, and site quality stands
