      Abstract
A rabbit immune system consists of a series of molecules, cells and organs that work together to identify, capture and destroy foreign substances that enter its body such as bacteria, fungi, chemicals and viruses. This study aimed to find out the effect of papaya leaf extract on the change in leukocyte number and rabbit body temperature with the use of inactive ND vaccine. There were 30 rabbits involved in the study, and they were divided into 6 groups. So each group consisted of 5 rabbits. Group A was given an extract of papaya leaf in dosage as much as one ml per animal, group B 2 ml per animal, group C 3 ml per animal, group D 4 ml per animal, group E 5 ml per animal and group F was not given any papaya extract (as a control). Each group was given a dose of papaya leaf extract in graded manner and 1 group acted as a control. On the beginning day each group was given according to the dose and the temperature of each rabbit was taken. On the second day each treatment was given inactive ND vaccine as much as1 ml / rabbit, the temperature of each rabbit was taken, and the rabbit blood was checked to count the number of leukocytes. The vaccine was given only on second day. On the fourth day the blood sample was taken to count the number of leukocytes and the temperature of each rabbit was checked. The results showed the giving of papaya leaf and inactive ND vaccine to rabbits are disposed to increase the number of leukocytes and the body temperatures of rabbits.
