Karakteristik Penyakit ISPA dan DBD pada Balita Terkait Kondisi Topografi dan Iklim (Kasus: Kabupaten Bogor)
Abstract
Children under the age of five are a group of children who are susceptible to diseases related to the environmental conditions. The cause of diseases arise from the environmental conditions, including the topography and climate conditions. Research on the characteristics of respiratory infection and dengue fever in children under-five related to the topography and climate conditions is important as an early warning to prevent disease outbreaks. The research was conducted in the study area of several sub districts in Bogor. The analysis includes of determining the topography, climatic conditions and disease categorization, and analysis of the probability. All of which were done to observe the characteristics of the disease occurrence. In general, the characteristic of respiratory infection tends to be higher in sub districts with high topography (mountains), while the characteristic of dengue fever tends to be lower. The characteristic of respiratory infection on rainfall conditions (CH), particularly on high monthly rainfall (CHn> 300 mm), also the increasing of monthly rainfall (CHn-CHn-1 > 60 mm), led to the frequent emergence of respiratory infection in children under-five. Categories of severe dengue fever (IR> 2.525) has the highest chance to occur in two conditions, i.e. the high monthly rainfall (CHn> 300 mm) and the increasing of monthly rainfall (CHn-CHn-1 > 60 mm), or on medium monthly rainfall conditions (162-300 mm) and the decreasing of monthly rainfall (CHn-CHn-1 <60 mm).
