Struktur Dan Sifat Optik Nanopartikel CuO Yang Disintesis Dengan Metode Sonokimia
Abstract
CuO nanoparticles have been made with variations of composition i e 0.25 M KOH concentration (sample A), 0.50 M (sample B), 0.75 M (sample C), and 1.00 M (sample D). The result of XRD characterization shown that CuO crystalline has monoclinic structure, included in the nano-size particles. Sample B has the best crystal structure. ACS is influenced by the concentration of KOH which is indicated by the value of the ACS in sample A, B, C, and D respectively, 17.241 nm, 23.525 nm, 19.588 nm, and 16.948 nm. Based on the results of the characterization of the optical properties, sample B absorbs most visible light than samples A, C, and D. The energy band gap of samples A, B, C, and D respectively are 1.81 eV, 1.68 eV, 1.75 eV, and 1.76 eV. therefore it can be concluded that the size of ACS CuO affects the values of energy band gap. From the results of the SEM analysis, the morphology of CuO crystals shaped flakes and the size is not uniform.
