Analisis Efisiensi Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Produksi Ikan Koi di Kecamatan Cisaat Kabupaten Sukabumi

Abstract

Koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) is a leading commodity of freshwater fish that attracted many people. Koi fish is not only kept by hobiis but also it’s interested and profitable commodity. Cisaat is one of producer of Koi fish that located in Northern Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. The turnover of Koi fish business in Cisaat can reach IDR 20 million per month. However, productions are still fluctuative and high quality products are still difficult to achieved, so the research study about the factors that influence Koi fish’s production is necessary to do. The purposes of this study are (1) to identify the factors that influence Koi fish’s production in Cisaat; (2) to analyze the efficiency level of the use of production factors of Koi fish in Cisaat; and (3) to identify consumer’s transaction motive to purchase koi fish in Cisaat. The production function model is analyzed by using multiple linear regeression analysis, production efficiency analysis are technically and economically, and consumer’s transaction motive to purchase Koi fish is analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The result of the research study showed that seed, manure, and medicines significantly affected Koi fish’s production. The use of these production factors has been achieved the efficiency technically but not economically yet. The main transaction motive to purchase Koi fish is because of its beauty on it’s body shape and colors with purchasing purpose is hobby.
