      Abstract
      LENI NOVITA. Pengaruh Harapan Orangtua, Motivasi Intrinsik, dan Strategi Pengaturan Diri dalam Belajar terhadap Prestasi Akademik Siswa SMP. Dibimbing oleh MELLY LATIFAH. Penelitian mengenai prestasi akademik sudah sering dilakukan. Akan tetapi, penelitian mengenai pengaruh harapan orangtua, motivasi intrinsik, dan strategi pengaturan diri dalam belajar terhadap prestasi akademik masih jarang dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik anak dan keluarga, harapan orangtua, motivasi intrinsik, dan strategi pengaturan diri dalam belajar terhadap prestasi akademik. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode cluster random sampling, dan contoh penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan metode random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada 149 anak kelas VIII SMPN di Bogor. Hasil uji pengaruh menunjukkan: 1) tidak adanya pengaruh karakteristik anak terhadap harapan orangtua dan motivasi intrinsik; 2) tidak adanya pengaruh karakteristik keluarga terhadap harapan orangtua; 3) adanya pengaruh positif harapan orangtua terhadap motivasi intrinsik; 4) adanya pengaruh positif motivasi intrinsik terhadap strategi pengaturan diri dalam belajar; dan 5) adanya pengaruh positif jenis kelamin dan strategi pengaturan diri dalam belajar terhadap prestasi akademik.
       
      LENI NOVITA. Parents Expectation, Intrinsic Motivation, and Self-Regulated Learning Strategies towards Academic Achievement of Junior High School Students. Supervised by MELLY LATIFAH. Academic achievement has been recurrently studied. Nevertheless, the effects of parents expectation, intrinsic motivation, and self-regulated learning strategies towards academic achievement remain under researched. The study aimed to analyze the effects of child and family characteristics, parents expectation, intrinsic motivation, and self-regulated learning strategies towards academic achievement. Cluster random sampling were used to select the location of study. The samples of this study were selected by random sampling. One hundred and forty nine of junior high school students in Bogor were used in this study. The result of partial analysis were: 1) child characteristics were not affecting parents expectation and intrinsic motivation; 2) family characteristics were not affecting parents expectation; 3) parents expectation were positively affecting intrinsic motivation; 4) intrinsic motivation were positively affecting self-regulated learning strategies; and 5) child’s gender and self-regulated learning strategies were positively affecting academic achievement.
