Abstract

Community responds to industry by industrial waste management activities. The development of industrial waste management activities into business activities have changed most of the people's livelihood in Cigondewah Kaler. Characteristics of industrial waste management efforts can be seen from the very strong involvement of relatives in conducting business. This study will analyze how social capital plays a role in industrial waste management businesses in the Cigondewah Kaler. This study uses a quantitative approach through survey methods and complemented by a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews to selected respondents who had been randomized at random. Quantitative analysis was done to see the relationship between the level of utilization of social capital to scale the business and the welfare of entrepreneurs. The results showed that there is a relationship between the use of social capital to scale the business and the welfare of industrial waste management businesses in Cigondewah Kaler.
