dc.description.abstractFisherman in Tunda Island using rumpon as an aggregating device. The utilization of coconut leaves as atraktor was more, then the coconut tree ecosystem starts to interfere. Therefore fibers used as an alternative style and new innovations of atracktor. The purpose of this research was to determine the comparative effectiveness rumpon with fibers atractor and coconut leaves atractor. The Methods included analyses the level of maturity of the gonads, abundance, diversity, uniformity, and The dominance of plankton. The results showed that 97% of the fish caught is not feasible on a rumpon with fibers atractor and 96% for rumpon with coconut leaves atractor. The composition of the plankton found in both rumpon is almost the same, it was Rhizosolenia.• The value index of diversity 0.18-1.35 for rumpon with fibers atractor and 0.72-1.20 for rumpon with coconut leaves atractor. The value index of uniformity 0.19-0.52 for rumpon with fibers atractor and 0.33-0.52 for rumpon with coconut leaves atractor. The vaue of dominance 0.39-0.91 for rumpon with fibers atractor and 0.43- 0.62 for rumpon with coconut leaves atractor.en
