Immersion of recombinant growth hormone can improve the growth of giant gourami juvenile. This research was conducted to examine the effectiveness of 0,12 mg/L recombinant Ephinepelus lanceolatus growth hormone (rElGH) immersion with and without bovine serum albumin (BSA). This study used a randomized complete design with 3 replicates and the treatment are 0,12 mg/L rElGH and BSA 100 mg/L (P1) compare with 0,12 mg/L rElGH without BSA (P2) and without rElGH without BSA (K) as control. Immersion was done for 1 hour, fish was then reared for 6 weeks and fed with tubifex with ad libitum. The result showed that rElGH treatment without BSA was not significantly affected body weight, biomass, and spesific growth rate (P>0,05) while the immersion of rElGH with BSA could increased 113.12% biomass compared to the rElGH immersion without BSA. Immersion of recombinant growth hormone to improve growth of giant gourami juvenile without BSA is not effective.
