dc.description.abstractThis research which titled growth response and production of upland rice on soilwater resources development aim to increase productivity of upland rice and studied the influence of soilwater resources development to the growth and production of upland rice. It was held in Diploma Experimental Farm of Bogor Agriculture University, Gunung Gede, Bogor on October 2013 until Januari 2014. The method used randomized complete block design with 3 replicatios and 1 factor of organic mulch applied with 5 treatment. The treatments were full tillage (M1), strip tillage (M2), strip tillage with application of organic mulch on the ground level (M3), strip tillage with application of organic mulch below the ground level (M4), strip tillage with application organic mulch in the top and below the ground level (M5). The results showed that growth response and production of upland rice impacted to the height of plant and dry matter weight. The treatment of M4 was selected as the treatment can increase the dry matter weight.en
