dc.description.abstractThe objective of this study was to analyze consumption patterns and nutritional status of vegetarian groups in Bogor. The study used cross sectional design and study participants were recruited purposively. The number of subjects was 42 vegetarian consisted of 22 men and 20 women. The result showed that nutritional adequacy level of energy of the vegetarian groups experienced deficiency of men (50%) and women (60%). Nutritional adequacy level of protein of the vegetarian groups of men experienced deficient (59%) and women (65%). Nutritional adequacy level of fat of the vegetarian groups experienced a shortage of men (52%) and women (48%). Nutritional adequacy level of carbohydrates of the vegetarian groups were good of men (64%) while women were deficient (75%). Nutritional adequacy level of vitamins and minerals of the vegetarian groups experienced a shortage of men (100%) and women (100%). The Spearman statistical analysis showed that there was no correlation (p>0.05) between type of vegetarian (vegan, lacto vegetarian vegetarian dan lacto-ovo vegetarian vegetarian) and old vegetarian with the level of recommended dietary allowance.en
