      Abstract
Dry land sugarcane productivities was influenced by three factors, i.e. plant genetic factor (sugarcane variety), environment factor (climate), and human activities factor (farm cultivation engineering application). Human activities factor became important because by the application of farm cultivation engineering to sugarcane plants starting from soil tillage activities up to harvesting activity would determine the amount of sugarcane productivities. The objective of the research was to determine the amount of dry land sugarcane productivities on the variation of soil tillage methods. The research was conducted from September 2002 up to August 2003 at dry land sugarcane area on Ultisol soil at Central Lampung, Lampung. Six soil tillage methods were applied on dry land sugarcane area and then the sugarcane variety of TC-9 were planted on it. The results showed that sugarcane productivities had variation on the variation of soil tillage methods. The increasing of soil tillage intensities would decrease the sampling average of sugarcane and sugar productivities. The application of soil tillage method with minimum intensities would result in optimum soil density that caused maximum sugarcane growth and production. The soil tillage method of "subsoiling-moldboard plowing-disk harrowing-furrowing" was the most optimum soil tillage method on dry land sugarcane cultivation on Ultisol soil at Central Lampung, Lampung.
